Founded in 2009, MBE Night in Annapolis stands as the largest conference for minority businesses in Maryland. This event provides an unparalleled networking opportunity, bringing together entrepreneurs, business leaders, legislators, and state officials to champion diversity, inclusion, and economic empowerment.

Founded in 2009 by former Delegate Herman Taylor in partnership with state officials and civic organizations, MBE Night in Annapolis was established to address some of the obstacles that prevent these businesses from achieving success.

The Honorable Jheanelle K. Wilkins, Maryland State Delegate
MBE Night in Annapolis 2026 will feature two high-impact panel discussions in the Capitol Ballroom. These sessions are designed to provide attendees with direct insight into Maryland’s economic trajectory and how Minority Business Enterprises can position themselves to lead.
Panel One: Equity, Mobility, and the Next Chapter for Maryland’s MBEs
This session will spotlight Maryland’s newly established Department of Social Equity & Mobility, introducing its mission, priorities, and role in shaping statewide opportunities. Attendees will learn how this department fits into Maryland’s broader economic strategy and what it means for businesses seeking access to capital, contracts, and growth.
Panel Two: Maryland’s Next Frontier – Quantum, Cyber, and Emerging Industries
This panel explores the state’s fastest-growing sectors, including quantum computing and cybersecurity. The discussion will focus on how innovation, infrastructure, and talent are converging, and what Maryland-based MBEs must do to compete and scale in these advanced markets.
